If you approach Marlborough from the Hackpen Hill area, just before Marlborough Golf Club the Ogbourne St. Andrew formation is clearly visible. This formation is situated just outside the boundary of the main village on the left hand side - heading towards Marlborough and is not visible from the main road.As you enter the field the formation at this point is still not visible. The nearest entry point is through the 8th tramline. Quite interestingly the tramlines are angled and steer of to the left.

This formation sits half on the incline of the field and the other half on the peek of the field. At the tip of the formation the field slopes downwards once again. From ground level photography is quite a challenge as you can only see the nearest parts of the formation nearest to you.

The formation once again is a giant and spans over 5 tramlines - is this a sign that other formations are likely to be large and impressive ?.

We arrived several days after the formation was first discovered so areas of possible interest are generally no longer visible due to visitor traffic.
I have heard that the farmer of this field is not allowing visitors to enter BUT there is a contribution bucket attached to the gate - so whether this belongs to the farmer or not is something I cant answer.

This formation had affected my camera where focusing is concerned. I have switched to manual focus but yet most of my images still came out blurry. I and many others have experienced such problems before where electronic equipment simply fails for reasons which are still fully not explained.
