I visited the Little London formation between 6 and 7pm on the 4th. Unfortunately, although a little late on the scene, almost straight away I thought the formation was a little on the messy side. I found many stems broken in multiple places and the lay of the crop didn't immediately grasp my enthusiasm. Especially around the uncommon fractions of circles along the tail, but also around the perimeter of the 'wings', the lay of the crop didn't match up to the complexity and natural flowing precision of previous formations. However, every formation is unique and I for one have never seen a dragonfly this big before!

An earlier examination may have provided more interesting observations.
