Reconstruction of the
2014 Ammersee (D) formation

1.
Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2.
Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing up.

3.
Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 2.

4.
Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 3, pointing down.

5.
Copy circle 3 to the lower angular point of triangle 4.

6.
Construct the inscribed regular 24sided polygon of circle 3, pointing down. Number the angular points counterclockwise 1 24, starting with the lowest.

7.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, passing through angular point 6 nr. 4.

8.
Copy circle 7 two times, to the lefthand and righthand angular points of triangle 4.

9.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, tangent to the righthand circle 8 at the lower lefthand side.

10.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, passing through angular point 6 nr. 3.

11.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, passing through angular point 6 nr. 2.

12.
Copy circles 9, 10 and 11 two times, to the centers of circles 8.

13.
Copy circle 5 twentythree times, to angular points 6 nrs. 2 24.

14.
Construct the circumscribed octagon (regular 8sided polygon) of circle 1, with the midpoint of a side at the lower intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline.

15.
Construct the circumscribed circle of octagon 14.

16.
 Circles 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15, are used for the final reconstruction.

17.
Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

18.
Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

19.
...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2014 Ammersee (D) formation.
