Reconstruction of the 2016 Blackwood formation | ||
1. | Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. | |
2. | Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. | |
3. | Copy circle 1 six times, to the angular points of hexagon 2. | |
4. | Copy hexagon 2 six times, to the centers of circles 3. | |
5. | Copy circle 1 twelve times, to the outer angular points of hexagons 4. | |
6. | Copy hexagon 2 two times, to the centers on the horizontal centerline of the leftmost and rightmost circles 5. | |
7. | Copy circle 1 four times, to the leftmost and rightmost angular points of hexagons 6. | |
8. | Circles 1, 3, 5, and 7, are used for the final reconstruction. | |
9. | Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself. | |
10. | Colour all areas corresponding to standing... | |
11. | ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2016 Blackwood formation. | |
12. | The final result, matched with the aerial image. |
