Reconstruction of the
2018 Baggwilgraben (Switzerland) formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right.

3. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 2.

4. Construct the inscribed dodecagon (regular 12-sided polygon) of circle 3, pointing up. Number the angular points clockwise 1 - 12, starting at the top.

5. Draw the twelve rays of circle 3, to the angular points of dodecagon 4.

6. Draw the diagonal of dodecagon 4 between angular points nrs. 3 and 11.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to diagonal 6.

8. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 7, pointing up.

9. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 8.

10. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 9, pointing to the right.

11. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 10.

12. Construct a circle, passing through angular point nr. 1, and passing through the intersections of circle 9 and rays 5 nrs. 4 and 10.

13. Construct a circle concentric to circle 12, passing through angular point nr. 2.

14. Repeat steps 12 and 13 eleven times, with respect to the other angular points (nrs, 2 - 12) of dodecagon 4.

15. Circles 1, 11, 12, 13, and 14, are used for the final reconstruction.

16. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

17. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

18. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2018 Baggwilgraben formation.

19. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
