Reconstruction of the
2018 Clifford's Hill formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed dodecagon (regular 12-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. Number the angular points clockwise 1 - 12, starting at the top.

3. Construct a circle centered at angular point nr. 1, passing through angular point nr. 2.

4. Construct a circle centered at angular point nr. 2, passing through angular point nr. 1.

5. Construct a circle centered at angular point nr. 12, passing through angular point nr. 1.

6. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 1 and the upper intersection of circles 3 and 4.

7. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of dodecagon 2 and line 6, tangent to circle 5 at the righthand side.

8. Copy circle 7 to the center of circle 1.

9. Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circles 4 and 5, tangent to line 6.

10. Copy circle 9 to the center of circle 1.

11. Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circle 3 and the vertical centerline, tangent to line 6.

12. Copy circle 11 to the center of circle 1.

13. Construct a circle passing through angular points nrs. 1 and 6, tangent to circle 10 at the lefthand side.

14. Construct a circle passing through angular points nrs. 2 and 7, tangent to circle 10 at the lefthand side.

15. Construct a circle concentric to circle 14, tangent to circle 8 at the lefthand side.

16. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circles 8 and 14, tangent to circle 15 at the near side.

17. Remove all parts from circles 4, 8, 13, 15, and 16, such that the shown pattern remains.

18. Copy pattern 17 eleven times, to the corresponding positions with respect to the other angular points of dodecagon 2, as shown.

19. Copy circle 9 to the center of circle 7.

20. Copy circle 11 to the center of circle 7.

21. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 7 at the upper side.

22. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 19 at the upper side.

23. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 20 at the upper side.

24. Circles 10, 12, 21, 22, and 23, and patterns 17 and 18, together, make up the final reconstruction.

25. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

26. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2018 Clifford's Hill formation.

27. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
