I don't know if anyone else has actually been to this field. It is
in my part of the world, and I went there quietly, damaging nothing,
offering up a prayer for respectfulness.
Pictures of the barley are interesting, close-up and at ground
level:
- multiple bends at the knots, with none of the bent barley fully
flattened, but growing at rakish angles - impossible to lay with
boards!
- only at the vortex centre, not the often-found little swirled
sheaf, but an empty centre, whitened stems and ears though not
whitened leaves, evidence of multiple twisting, and frizzed hairs
extending from the ears. White but not burned.
