Reconstruction of the
2022 Tawsmead Copse formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Draw the connecting line between the lefthand and righthand intersections of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline.

3. Divide line 2 into twentythree equal parts. Number the dividing nodes 1 - 22, from left to right.

4. Construct five circles concentric to circle 1, passing through nodes 3 nrs. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

5. Construct the inscribed regular 23-sided polygon of circle 1, pointing up. Number the angular points, clock-wise, 1 - 23, starting at the top.

6. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 1 and angular point 5 nr. 2.

7. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 1 and node 3 nr. 13.

8. Copy circle 7 to angular point 5 nr. 1.

9. Construct a horizontal line, from the lower intersection of circle 8 and the vertical centerline, upto line 6.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of lines 6 and 9.

11. Copy circle 7 to the righthand intersection of circle 10 and the horizontal centerline.

12. Construct six circles concentric to circle 11, passing through nodes 3 nrs. 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.

13. Copy circle 7 to the lefthand intersection of circle 10 and the horizontal centerline.

14. Construct eight circles concentric to circle 13, passing through nodes 3 nrs. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

15. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 1 and node 3 nr. 16.

16. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 1 and angular point 5 nr. 16. Extend this line upto the other side of circle 1.

17. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, passing through node 3 nr. 13.

18. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 17 at the righthand side.

19. Extend line 16 further, upto circle 18.

20. Copy circle 15 to the intersection of circle 18 and line 19.

21. Construct a "two-points" circle between the centers of circles 1 and 7.

22. Copy circle 21 two times, to nodes 3 nrs. 5 and 18.

23. Construct two parallel (horizontal) lines, tangent to circles 22 at both sides.

24. Circles 1, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 20, and lines 23 are used for the final reconstruction.

25. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

26. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

27. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2022 Tawsmead Copse formation.

28.
