Reconstruction of the
2023 Allen King Way formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing to the right.

4. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing down.

5. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing to the left.

6. Draw all twenty-four rays of circle 1, from the center to the angular points and through the outer mutual intersections of triangles 2, 3, 4, and 5. Number the rays, clockwise, 1 - 24, beginning at the top.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the outer mutual intersections of triangles 2, 3, 4, and 5.

8. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 7 and ray 6 nr. 1, tangent to the upper lefthand side of triangle 5.

9. Construct the circumscribed square of circle 8, with the sides horizontally and vertically.

10. Construct the circumscribed circle of square 9.

11. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 10 at the lower side.

12. Copy circle 10 to the center of circle 1.

13. Construct a circle centered at the lower righthand angular point of square 9, tangent to circle 7 at the near side.

14. Copy circle 13 twelve times, to the intersections of circle 11 and all odd-numbered rays 6.

15. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 7, pointing down.

16. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of triangle 15 and ray 6 nr. 2.

17. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of triangle 4 and ray 6 nr. 1, tangent to circle 10 at the lower side.

18. Copy circle 17 twelve times, to the intersections of circle 16 and all even-numbered rays 6.

19. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 8 and ray 6 nr. 1, tangent to circle 10 at the upper side. Move this circle (copy and delete original) to the center of circle 8.

20. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 19 at the upper side.

21. Construct a circle, passing through the lefthand and righthand intersections of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, and tangent to circle 20 at the upper side.

22. Construct a circle concentric to circle 21, tangent to circle 7 at the upper side.

23. Construct a (small) circle, tangent to the upper sides of triangles 3 and 5, and tangent to circle 11 at the upper side, and outside of it.

24. Copy circle 23 twenty-four times, to the intersections of circle 1 and all rays 6.

25. Construct twelve pairs of parallel lines, parallel to rays 6, tangent to opposite circles 24 at both sides, as shown.

26. Remove all redundant parts from circles 11, 12, 14, and 18, and lines 25, such that...

27. ...this pattern remains.

28. Triangles 2, 3, 4, and 5, circles 7, 20, 21, and 22, and pattern 27, are used for the final reconstruction.

29. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

30. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

31. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2023 Allen King Way formation.

32. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
