Reconstruction of the
2023 Eastleigh Court formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of the righthand side of hexagon 2 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 1 at the righthand side.

4. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 3 at the lefthand side.

5. Construct the circumscribed hexagon of circle 4, pointing up.

6. Construct the circumscribed circle of hexagon 5.

7. Construct three circles, centered at the upper lefthand, upper righthand, and lower angular points of hexagon 5, all passing through the center of circle 1.

8. Draw a line between the center of cirle 1 and the upper righthand angular point of hexagon 2.

9. Copy circle 3 to the lower intersection of circle 6 and the vertical centerline.

10. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 9 and the vertical centerline, passing through the lower righthand angular point of hexagon 5. Call this angular point A.

11. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 10 and line 8, passing through point A.

12. Copy circle 3 to the upper intersection of circle 9 and the vertical centerline.

13. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 12 and the vertical centerline, passing through point A.

14. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 13 and line 8, passing through point A.

15. Copy circle 3 to the upper intersection of circle 12 and the vertical centerline.

16. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 15 and the vertical centerline, passing through point A.

17. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 16 and line 8, passing through point A.

18. Copy circle 3 to the upper intersection of circle 15 and the vertical centerline.

19. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 18 and the vertical centerline, passing through point A.

20. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 19 and line 8, passing through point A.

21. Copy circle 3 to the upper intersection of circle 18 and the vertical centerline.

22. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 21 and the vertical centerline, passing through point A.

23. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 22 and line 8, passing through point A.

24. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 1 and line 8, tangent to circle 14 at the near side.

25. Construct the "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 24 and its intersection with line 8.

26. Copy circle 25 two times, to the center of circle 1, and its lower intersection with the vertical centerline.

27. Construct a line parallel to the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 26 at the righthand sides.

28. Remove all redundant parts from circles 6, 11, 14, 17, 20, and 23, and line 27, such that...

29. ...this pattern remains.

30. Repeat all necessary steps to copy pattern 29, while mirroring with respect to the vertical centerline.

31. Repeat all necessary steps to copy and rotate patterns 29 and 30, together, with respect to the upper lefthand and upper righthand angular points of hexagon 5.

32. Circles 1, and 7, and patterns 29, 30, and 31, are used for the final reconstruction.

33. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

34. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

35. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2023 Eastleigh Court formation.

36. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
