This is the first formation in the East Field this year, which appeared July 3rd, in wheat.  I got pole shots of it the day that it appeared thanks to a call from Polly Carson.  I didn’t get the aerial until a few weeks later, when the crop was changing colour.  Note that the entire design is made of squares and rectangles (except for a narrow underlying ring).
