This is a formation that I made with Chris Bird and some friends for an Australian band called Gyroscope at Alton Barnes late in the summer.

 

I was unable to fly and take a picture of it myself before it was cut down.  This photo was taken by Steve Alexander, the undisputed king of circle photographers, and given for me to use with his permission.

 

We made the formation in the night, and the next day the band came and spent the entire day filming a music video in it (between downpours -- which is why there are a lot of shots in the video of the band playing inside Tim Carson’s barn).

There are several false rumours about the video, such as; the band made the crop circle themselves, and (my favourite), that the formation mysteriously appeared right when and where the band needed it.
