In my opinion the most beautiful crop circle of all is the recent barley formation on Windmill Hill, which ilyes calls The Harp.  (Previously my favourite was the Hackpen Hill Vortex of ten years ago.)

This picture was taken by Dai Dobbs soon after the formation’s appearance, and he has given it to me to PhotoShop and post.  The unusual variability of reflectivity is due to the seeds being planted in bands of different density by the seed drill (planting machine).  I’ve never seen such a dramatic effect before.  It almost looks like hammered metal!

This diagram of the Windmill Hill Harp was hand drawn by my friend Chris Bird, who gave it to me to post because he does not have a computer.
