This year we found ourselves with a series of wonderful lectures and musical talent to put into our annual  ‘Circle Chasers’ Alton Barnes event. As fate would have it since we did not hold an event last year, we found ourselves with just too many options for one evening so rather than disappoint ourselves, and others, we decided to hold two events to cover all this wonderful talent with which we were presented with this year.

Event 1 

 

Coronation Hall. Alton Barnes, Wilshire on Wednesday 29^th of July at 7pm. 

Premiere Showing of ‘CROP CIRCLES – Hidden Mysteries’ in high definition projected onto a large screen. 

Standing with Stones - A remarkable odyssey

Michael Bott takes us on a remarkable odyssey around the mysterious stone circles of the United Kingdom and Ireland. A fascinating video illustrated lecture. 

 

Crop Circles and Circular Phenomena in Canada

Joanna Emery will give an overview of the Canadian crop circle scene and observations from formations in both England and Canada thus giving us a more global perspective of this extraordinary phenomenon.

2009 Circles with Live Music 

The Response Collective are back with us again to recreate that wonderful evening we held in 2007. This time they will include music from their latest album. One of their music tracks was featured in the recent Red Dwarf cult Sc-Fi TV specials. The track was featured in a montage sequence. They will perform live with our video aerial and pole shots of this year’s amazing circles that will be projected on a large screen. 

 

 

Visions, Glimpses, Messages & Meanings 

Roger Vlitos explores with us the history behind Avebury and Silbury Hill with an in depth, fascinating and absorbing illustrated lecture which takes us back through the mists of time and forward to the present day. He throws light into many areas behind this sacred site.
