When I spotted this classic style crop circle in Google Images I
was surprised that it was a design I hadn't ever seen before. I
didn't look closely because I was in a hurry, but something was
bothering me, so I went back and took a closer look. It was a
computer graphic image by a chap named Chipp Walters!
The caption text said it was created using VueLab with three
billion polygons. The fractal distribution of the plants in the
field is superb, and the guy did a good job with the lay of the
crop, too. Damn good rendering and nice design, too. The only
goof that I could shake a stick at was the tramline spacing --
the one on the right was much too wide.
