Reconstruction of the 2017 Battlesbury Hill formation | ||
1.
Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.
2.
Construct the inscribed square of circle 1, with the sides parallel to the horizontal and vertical centerlines.
3.
Construct the inscribed circle of square 2.
4.
Construct the inscribed square of circle 3, pointing to the right.
5.
Construct the inscribed circle of square 4.
6.
Construct a circle centered at the upper righthand angular point of square 2, tangent to circle 5 at the upper righthand side.
7.
Copy circle 6 three times, to the other angular points of square 2.
8.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the lower intersection of square 2 and circle 6.
9.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 6, tangent to circle 8 at the upper righthand side.
10.
Copy circle 9 three times, to the centers of circles 7.
11.
Construct the circumscribed square of circle 8, with the sides horizontally and vertically.
12.
Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the upper righthand angular points of squares 2 and 11. See detail.
| ||
13.
Repeat step 12 three times, with respect to the other angular points of squares 2 and 11.
14.
Construct two pairs of parallel lines, parallel to the diagonals of square 11, tangent to circles 12 and 13 at both sides. See detail.
| ||
15.
Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the upper lefthand intersection of square 11 and circle 12. See detail.
| ||
16.
Copy circle 15 to the center of circle 1.
17.
Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of circles 6 and 8, tangent to circle 16 at the near side.
18.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 6, tangent to circle 17 at the lefthand side.
19.
Copy circle 18 three times, to the centers of circles 7.
20.
Draw the connecting line between the centers of circles 1 and 6.
21.
Construct a "two-points" circle between the intersections of circles 5 and 9 with line 20.
22.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 21.
23.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 6, passing through the center of circle 21.
24.
Copy circle 17 to the lower righthand intersection of circles 21 and 22.
25.
Copy circle 17 to the upper lefthand intersection of circles 21 and 23.
26.
Copy circles 24 and 25 three times, by repeating steps (20, 21, 23,) 24, and 25, with respect to circles 7 in stead of circle 6, as shown.
27.
Circles 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26, and lines 14, are used for the final reconstruction.
28.
Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
29.
Colour all areas corresponding to standing...
30.
...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2017 Battlesbury Hill formation.
