Reconstruction of the 2017 The Rollright Stones formation | ||

| Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. |

| Construct the inscribed octagon (regular 8-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. |

| Draw the eight diagonals of octagon 2, from each angular point to every third angular point, as shown. |

| Construct the inscribed square of circle 1, with horizontal and vertical sides. |
| 5. |
| Draw the eight diagonals of the octagon enclosed by diagonals 3, from each angular point to every third angular point, as shown. |

| Construct the inscribed circle of (the octagon enclosed by) diagonals 5. |
| 7. |
| Copy circle 6 to the top of octagon 2. |
| 8. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 7 at the upper side. |
| 9. |
| Construct the inscribed square of the circumscribed circle of the octagon enclosed by diagonals 3, with horizontal and vertical sides. |

| Construct a circle centered at the mid-point of the righthand side of square 9, tangent to circle 6 at the righthand side. |

| Copy circle 10 to the center of circle 1. |

| Construct the inscribed circle of the octagon enclosed by diagonals 3. |

| Copy circle 12 to the lower intersection of circle 7 and the vertical centerline. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 13 at the upper side. |

| Construct a circle centered at the mid-point of the upper side of square 9, passing through the upper intersections of diagonals 5, as shown. |

| Copy circle 15 to the upper intersection of circle 8 and the vertical centerline. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 16 at the lower side. |

| Circles 6, 8, 11, 14, and 17, diagonals 3, and square 4, together, make up the final reconstruction. |
