Reconstruction of the 2023 Wayland's Smithy formation | ||

| Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. |
| 2. |
| Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing up. |
| 3. |
| Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing down. |
| 4. |
| Construct a circle centered at the top of triangle 2, passing through the upper righthand intersection of triangles 2 and 3. |
| 5. |
| Copy circle 4 two times, to the other angular points of triangle 2. |
| 6. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 4 at the upper side. |
| 7. |
| Construct two inscribed equilateral triangles of circle 6, one pointing up, one pointing down. |
| 8. |
| Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of the circle, passing through the intersections of triangles 7, pointing to the left. |
| 9. |
| Copy circle 4 to the intersection of the righthand side of triangle 8 and the horizontal centerline. |
| 10. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 9 at the righthand side. |
| 11. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 4, tangent to circle 10 at the upper side. |
| 12. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 11 at the lower side. |
| 13. |
| Copy circle 11 to the upper intersection of circle 4 and the vertical centerline, and move this circle (copy and delete original) to its own corresponding intersection. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 13 at the upper side. |
| 15. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 4, tangent to circle 14 at the upper side. |
| 16. |
| Copy circle 15 two times, to the centers of circles 5. |
| 17. |
| Copy circle 11 two times, to the centers of circles 5. |
| 18. |
| Construct three pairs of parallel lines, parallel to the sides of triangle 2, tangent to circles 11 and 17 at both sides. |
| 19. |
| Circles 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 16, and lines 18, are used for the final reconstruction. |
| 20. |
| Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself. |
| 21. |
| Colour all areas corresponding to standing... |
| 22. |
| ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2023 Wayland's Smithy formation. |
| 23. |
| The final result, matched with the aerial image, rotated 180°. |
