The outer ring represents the Earth.
The inner circle represents the Earth's core, both solid and liquid. The
square is a standard indication of protection in crop circles. In this
case it protects the four chastising comets from interference by humans
as the comets disturb the Earth's core. Each of the four lenses
represents the additional light created by each comet as it descends
through the atmosphere to final impact. The four are connected together
to indicate they are intrinsically related to each other rather than of
independent origin. Also, the square may indicate that Ireland, a
country with no reported crop circles, will not be significantly
affected by the comet strikes.
