A very old friend of mine has a neighbouring farm to the one
where the formation is and he knows the farmer Harry very well.
Harry sent him a video from his tractor this morning and wasn’t very
happy to find to the formation there! He’s a really nice old chap
who isn’t very well at the moment. I popped over earlier and we went
up to meet him at the field, he has reported it to the police for
insurance reasons and isn’t keen on the prospect of lots of people
turning up, I was a bit surprised to find no one there but he let me
go in for a quick look.
The crop is starting to stand back up
and stands a good chance of doing so and I was reluctant to trample
over it because of this but I did hurriedly take a few photos but
didn’t go all the way to the Centre. I was only in there a couple
of minutes so couldn’t really study the lay very closely but I did
see a few bent stems. It is very neatly done and we didn’t see any
boot marks or other evidence of people having gone in there at all
at the nearest entrance but the ground is pretty dry.
Hope these few pictures are of interest and please feel free to use
them but anonymously if possible.
