Our CGI rep contacted
the farmer and met up with him at the CC. Although
he listened very patiently, accepted our card and
leaflet, learned who we were and what we had to
offer him in terms of a free service package he was
firm in his wish at that time for
NO VISITORS...all
this is new to him. Although very disappointing we
believe this was a positive step in as much as
contact was made and gave him food for thought.
Perhaps next time he may take a different view,
maybe having spoken to other farmers we have helped.
At that time he was unable to say what he will do
with the CC but the feeling we got was if he finds
people in it he may well cut it out and that would
be a great shame as at least the CC may still be
seen from the air.
CGI are very aware that some may
find it hard hearing we deliberately informed the
farmer but on the hand if he had arrived and found
numerous people there already it would seem very
probable in this case he would have cut it straight
away. At least we have shown due respect and he has
no need to feel angry towards us or with unwanted
visitors.
